Putrajaya Challenge Park new update…
Posted by throughthelensofazmir on June 6, 2009
The Putrajaya Challenge Park is nearing completion. They have allowed visitors to use the pump track and table tops. The trails are undergoing minor cosmetic touch ups like putting up trail signs, drainage, etc. I think over all it is a really fun place to go riding.

the Seesaw….
table tops…
That’s about it. Go check it out.

the bestowment is complete…..
Posted by throughthelensofazmir on June 6, 2009
This is my story of my quest for a new steed to carry me into the forest, up steep hills, over roots and rock, to cross rivers and skinnys and going down adrenaline inducing downhills. I searched long and hard. Until I heard the Banshee call. Beckoning my restless heart to its lair. What is it your heart most desire? What manner of riding do you seek? These are the doubts that gnawed in my heart.
“Look to the bones…..” the banshee whispered,”look to the bones….”
And so I did…….
the first bone……
the second bone revealed to me…..
the third bone….
the final bone…
“Raidho…….Uruz………Nauthiz…….Ehwaz…..,”whispered the banshee. “So be it.” it said. I woke with a start from my dream. To my amazement, my steed was revealed to me.
I absolutely love this bike. So much so I wrote this fan fiction. I probably seem like an idiot. And I don’t give a shit as I am too busy playing in the woods.

blink and you will miss it
Posted by throughthelensofazmir on February 22, 2009
I was on my way back home when I saw an awesome display of lightning. So I figured I would try to catch a lightning, relatively speaking. I gotta admit it was kinda challenging as I didn’t have my tripod with me.
By the time I had set up my camera the storm was subsiding as the frequency of the lightning show was dropping. But, I remained patient and was rewarded with a few lightning captures. Could have been better but I am happy with what I managed to capture. Not a bad start to catching lightning
Putrajaya Bike Park

So I showed Muz where all the trail heads where and left the rest to him. I knew he would thoroughly enjoy the trails there as I had a week earlier. Let’s just say that he was grinning from ear to ear the whole time.
Since there was only Muz and I that day, I figured he would be my subject for the day. Ha ha ha. As a promo for mountain biking. So most of the pictures will be of him. There are pictures of other mountain bikers there that day so those pictures would come in a bit later in this post.
Admittedly, Muz was a bit out of breath that day, for having missed three weeks of riding. Judging by that I would probably be out of breath when I can finally ride again. From what the doctor say I could be out of action for two weeks! What a bummer….and I am already itching to ride.
Well after exploring some of the trails, Muz attempted the downhill section. Fun section it was…hmmmmmm. So I sat at the the 180° degree turn hut and took pictures.
Okay, so enough of Muz’s pictures. Here are some of the other riders.
Here’s some shots of the other riders going around the 180° turn.
Well that’s about it. I have more pictures but i’m just too lazy to upload em all. Anyways if any of you in the pictures find this post and want a larger copy just leave your email in the comments and I will be glad to email them to ya…
Oh and by the way…it’s a pleasure to meet you and hope we can ride together some time

floating in the air
Posted by throughthelensofazmir on January 30, 2009

Sometimes you feel as though you are like a spider. Floating free on your spider web, waiting for an opportunity of a good meal. Sitting all day and following the flow of the wind. Though it is hard work to build the web and maintain it but the reward that comes after the build must be satisfying. As with anything you do in life. The more work you put into it the better the rewards.

Sometimes though you feel like you are trapped in a spider’s web. No matter how hard you struggle to be free, it only makes you get more entangled. The wheel of life sometimes deals you with this situation. Where no matter how hard you try. It always seem like you can never get any reward or satisfaction.
I would like to think about htis time you should try and move on to other things. If you wait too long then probably you would end up just being eaten by a spider.

the euphoria of being in love
Posted by throughthelensofazmir on January 8, 2009
What is it about being in love that makes a person feel good. Why do we even seek to be in love in the first place? My thoughts is that it is human nature to seek love. To seek a feeling of being wanted. A sense of belonging. We humans are not meant to be solitary creatures. We are built to be extremely social. It does not necessarily have to be a big group, two person is enough. When you are alone and doing nothing you tend to feel out of place. You tend to think too much.
A friend of mine recently bought a kitten for his significant other. After maybe two months after getting the kitten, what he had said to me got my interest. The kitten did not just make his girlfriend happy, but it also provided him with company when he is at home alone while his girlfriend is out working.
Love can also make a person do things that he won’t normally do. He may be doing it without being totally aware of what he is doing. It may seem that it is normal from his view point. From another perspective, others may see someone who is acting like a total idiot.
Why is this so is a total mystery.
Maybe its a combination of thinking with your brain, feeling with your heart, listening to your gut feeling and chemical imbalances. Normally this happens during the initial break in of the feeling of love. Once you are comfortable with your partner, then the idiot phase mellows out and you tend to act normally. Though there are exceptions.
As with all good things there are downsides to this feeling of love. The uncertainties, the feeling of jealousy and times where you feel unattended to. But that what makes love interesting. It’s how you manage all the myriad of different feelings that makes the whole experience a great one.
Yours truly haven’t been in love in a while now. Still searching for love despite having gone out with a couple of nice ladies. For some reason the feeling of love just didn’t sruface.
Wish it would come soon though….

sombre ushering of 2009
Posted by throughthelensofazmir on January 5, 2009
I wish I could say that I had a good time ushering in the new year of 2009. A series of events just prevented that from happening. A few days prior to the new year the ruler of Negeri Sembilan, DYMM Tuanku Jaafar passed away. How does that effect me, well being that my dad works for his highness, it sort of became a big deal. I had to go and attend the funeral and all.

The funeral procession

The late Tuanku Jaafar being pulled by military servicemen
Negeri Sembilan upholds the Adat Perpatih, according to the Adat Perpatih the new Yang Di Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan had to be named prior to the funeral. As with other states the succession is clear. The eldest son would be the heir to the throne. It is quite different for Negeri Sembilan. Tuanku Mukhriz was elected as the new Yang DiPertuan Besar instead of Tuanku Jaafar’s 3 sons.

86 canon shots accompanied the funeral procession. No pictures of that though.

you are looking at the future
Posted by throughthelensofazmir on December 24, 2008

I love taking pictures of kids. I guess they remind me of my own childhood. Kids have really imaginative thinking. A way of thinking that I wish I hadn’t lost. Though lately I am trying to regain that way of thinking. Sometimes the ideas they come up with just makes you laugh, but sometimes it also makes you think.

They are also our future. How we shape them today, will effect theirs and our future. All our hopes, all our dreams we invest into a child. We try our best and hope that we give them enough for them to face their own lives.

christmas time
Posted by throughthelensofazmir on December 22, 2008

I was at the Curve, recently for a surprise birthday dinner for Jessica. They had decked out the halls with christmas decorations, little elves, reindeer and pine trees. There was a lot of people just taking pictures with the decorations. It wasn’t just those who were Christians but all people of all races and religion.

They also had hanging Christmas trees which was a nice touch.

All in all they had created a really festive ambiance.
